- Born as a Russian Jew, I now have the fortune and privelege of being a citizen of the United States of America. Thank you, my grandparents, whose idea of human dignity conflicted with that of the Soviets.
- Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society helped us come to America, and continues to help others to do so.
- I went to high school at L.A.C.E.S. 1990-1993. Matthew runs an alumni directory.
- I went to school at Brandeis University:
- EarthLink, through which I found my church and also where I apprenticed for seven years as a computer systems administrator. This company will always have a very fond place in my heart. Thank you, Sky Dayton, and my dear colleagues and members.

- My church, through which I have come to support:
- I am proud to serve the public in City of Los Angeles by work in the Public Library. I started at Durant branch library as a messenger-clerk, which was great fun, and then went to Central Library as a clerk-typist. I got to work in Computer Center, Circulation, History and Cataloging (Russian). I loved all of it. I am still on the employee rolls as a substitute CT, which means I continue to work in the library a day a month or so.
